Bret's House

Well we finally made it back from Texas with two little six year olds. It's been a long time since we have been responsible for little ones for a very long period of time and away from their parents.Bret and Caleen did a good job of taking care of us. they had the kids for three nights and we had them for one. Sounds easy? Well the day we had them for the whole time started out with a long plane flight with Emmie being really sick. She was fine until we got on the plane then she started coughing and couldn't stop. It really scared me. We have had so many kids and Blayne with breathing problems. She would cough with every breath. Her face was getting real gray and people on the plane were getting really worried just like me. We knew she was having asthma but we didn't know why. By the time we landed, rented a car, and got on the road, We were in the biggest traffic jam I've ever seen. We didn't know where we were going and we couldn't even move. Emmie was so out of it by that time,I told Blayne to look for the first hospital sign he could. It took a while, it seem like hours, and we finally found one. We followed it for a while then it disappeared. We were so lost by then. Blayne went into a gas station and ask where the hospital was. Well to make a long story short, we finally found one. We didn't know if they would treat her because we were not her parents, but they were very nice. We got her on oxygen and had x-rays done.yadda, yadda, yadda. We didn't get them to bed until almost two in the morning. We had prescriptions and other things they told us to get. We got to our hotel and of course they had giving our suite to someone else. We got to our room Blayne threw a fit and got us moved to a really nice room with three beds and a kitchen. We finally got the little ones to bed. We were so tired I couldn't believe it. They gave us some medicine to help Emmie sleep so she was out until noon the next day. She was still a little sick the next day but it all worked out fine considering we are getting to old for all this excitement. Here are a few pictures. Our camera broke on the second day and so of course we miss some pictures until we went and bought a new camera. I think Bret will blog some of the frogs and other fun things we missed.

Thanks mom and dad for taking such good care of my baby - and my second baby, Logan!
